The Neighbourhood Justice Centre (NJC) is Australia’s first community justice centre. Multidisciplinary partnerships and community involvement are the core of the NJC’s operations. A multijurisdictional court, an integrated team of support services and innovative justice programs work with the local community to increase access to justice, address the underlying causes of criminal behavior . These multidisciplinary partnerships are housed in one building creating a “one stop” smart approach to combatting crime and building community resilience.
